Whew-eee!! I was busy baking up a storm this weekend! I made two 40th birthday cakes, one chocolate cake and two batches of cookies.
For the cakes, I made the following:
1. Chocolate cake with oreo buttercream and a chocolate ganache drip.
2. Confetti cake with vanilla buttercream and a strawberry buttercream filling.
3. Classic vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream.
They all looked amazing and it was so fun to see my customers faces when they came to pick up the cakes. I can't wait to hear how they liked them.
For those of you who don't know, I play the viola and had a recital style viola session with my teacher and all of her other students. My teacher hired me to make the cookies. I made sugar cookies in the shape of music notes, decorated with royal icing. I also made chocolate chip cookies. You can never go wrong with those! I had so much much fun at the viola session and it seemed like everyone enjoyed my cookies!
As you can see, I am a busy baker these days. If you want to place an order, please try and place it in advance. I will do my best to accommodate last minute requests. But Mr. and Mrs. Sconnie Cakes (my dad and mom) want to make sure I still have time to be a kid and do kid things. Therefore, we are done accepting orders for January. I don't want to end on a low "note" (see what I did there?). Place those orders in advance so you can enjoy my tasty treats!
